This is the extracted text from Sweden's first electronic novel, "The Watcher's Ability to Interfere", which was published on floppy disks in 1992. This PDF (made 2024) also contains some background material about the novel's creation, about the reviews and the debate on hypertext. The text is in Swedish.
The original book was made in Macintosh Hypercard and contained some images and sounds and clickable words that activated program code which manipulated the text in different ways, sometimes randomly. This PDF contains only the text without these features. However, an emulated version of the Hypercard edition is available here:

The novel is about author Peter and photographer Johanna, who meet by chance in New York. The former's devotion to the written word and the latter's to photographic images reveal ever greater differences in their way of living and loving.
